The goal of the project is to develop an innovative, robot-assisted high-speed welding system for series production of battery cells with copper connectors. Copper offers excellent electrical properties but is difficult to weld. By integrating intelligent control software and semiconductor- grade motion systems, we aim to increase welding speed by a factor of 10 without compromising quality. aixcon PowerSystems and Vectioneer jointly develop a scalable, cost-efficient solution that addresses the needs of battery manufacturers, e-mobility and energy storage providers, and research institutions – contributing to a more competitive and sustainable European battery production industry.In the early years, Vectioneer primarily focused on developing control systems for Flight Simulation and later expanding into Robotic Controls.
